Sunday Lesson: Presidency Message, Spiritually Feeding the Family

In case you missed Denise's lesson on Sunday, here are some highlights to inspire you to nourish yourselves and your family daily through spiritual "meals" or devotionals in the home.

Advice from Sister Beck:

  • Be brilliant in the basics
  • Be intentional about our roles and responsibilities in the family
  • Seek for precision, not perfection
Sister Beck, BYU Women's Conference April 2010 (full address available here)

"Cooking meals for my family took on added meaning because I needed a place to teach and gather and have the Lord's spirit there. It was important to invest my effort in making a home."

Elder Anderson quotes the primary song in urging "Tell me the stories of Jesus I love to hear, Things I would ask him to tell me if He were here." (Full conference address available here)

We have the chance to feast with our families every day -- we pray that we don't let the opportunity idly pass by.

Thank you sisters for you discussion and response on Sunday -- we hope to see you tonight at 6:30 pm for our quarterly RS dinner on the "Magic of the Family Meal."
